Avenue of Historical Stars

Bracka Street is a pedestrian zone in the town centre that has been used by many celebrities over the years. In the pavement of this street there are brass plaques, which form the Avenue of Historical Stars, to commemorate famous people who have visited Luban. The plaques bear the names of people such as the medieval preacher Jan Kapistran (1453), the poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1790) or the Polish king Stanislaw Leszczyński (1707). The number of plaques is constantly increasing and each new plaque is accompanied by a historical re-enactment commemorating the visit of a distinguished guest. Continue along Bracka Street, pass under the tower of the Town Hall and reach the square.
