Stone Mountain Park

From the late Middle Ages to the beginning of the 19th century, the top of Kamienna Góra was covered only with scattered trees, and most of the area was occupied by urban pastures. The first purposeful plantations were made only in the 18th century.

From the 19th century, forced by the wave of Romanticism, interest in natural beauty and hiking increased in Europe. In Lubań, the peak of Kamienna Góra, with its magnificent panorama of the Silesian and Lusatian landscape, became a popular destination for hikers.

The last landscape park on the post-volcanic hill was created in the second half of the 19th century.
